Job interviews, Questions nd answers.

How to deal with the “why did you leave your last job” question at an interview

The “why did you leave your last job” question is one of the hardest questions to answer at a job interview. The answer you give can have a lot of clarity on securing your place with a new employer.  You should keep your answer to a positive tone regardless of what the reason is.

Below are a few examples of how you should answer the “why did you leave your last job” question.

Try to answer as honestly as possible, even if you left your last  job under bad terms or unfortunate circumstances. do not bad mouth your last employers. Put it in a positive light by saying “you and your old boss had some difference in opinions and you felt you could not grow to your full potential”.

  • Although I enjoyed my previous job very much I feel it is time for me to experience my career on a different scale, one where i can grow with the company itself.
  • My last job could not offer me the challenges that I had hoped for because the company is not as large as this one, as a result of this it has led me to your company which I believe can offer me those challenges.
  • I have worked for the same company for a very long time and felt it was time to experience something new and different, “as a change is as good as a rest”
  • My previous job focused more on a different aspect about what I had studied and trained for and for this reason it has forced me to look else where, as a result it has brought me to your company which I believe offers more opportunity  to excel my potential.

Which ever way you decide to answer the question try not to leave your answer open to another question. Keep a positive attitude leaving out any negative vibes from your previous employer, remember you may need to use them as a reference and your potentially new employer may well contact them.

One of the most important facts to remember is do not lie during your interview this could backfire on you. tell the truth but in a diplomatic light without haste or hatred

  3. I believe that avoiding ready-made foods is the first step in order to lose weight. They might taste fine, but processed foods have very little vitamins and minerals, making you consume more only to have enough power to get through the day. When you are constantly eating these foods, moving over to whole grain products and other complex carbohydrates will let you have more vigor while feeding on less. Interesting blog post.
